Pilgrims Rest Cemetery
Mary Rachel Sidebottom was born October 2, 1938, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Stephen Burk Williams and Rosa Charles Williams Murphy. She went home to be with her Lord on July 23, 2013, at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma, surrounded by a loving family at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 20 days.
Rachel enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and homemaker. Her hobbies included quilting, rock hunting for arrowheads, family research and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She loved to read and was an avid writer who wrote many stories and poems. Rachel was saved and baptized at the age of 13 and was of the Baptist faith. In her younger years she and her sisters would sing together at church, school or any other opportunity they had to share their love of music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Robert Littlejohn and J.W. Sidebottom, sisters, Louvenia Kuykendall and Nona Vann, children, Rex Sidebottom and Rita Faye Ex.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her children, Reva Jean Grahm, Ruby and Roger Workman, Ramona and R.D. Ketcher, Melinda and Paul Muskrat, Melissa and Mike Lewis, Roger and Diane Sidebottom, Ralph and Genine Sidebottom, Robert and Teresa Sidebottom, Ronnie and Julie Sidebottom, Rob Littlejohn and Lisa Bolin, Rick Sidebottom, Dennis Littlejohn, Raymond Sidebottom, Paul and Teresa Sidebottom; sisters, Jesse Jackson, Juanita Arnold, Wanda Farrington, Liz and Al Farmer; brother, Johnny Williams, 34 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Roger Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
