Sanders “Fox” Cochran was born on April 29th 1950
in Tahlequah, Ok to Charlie and Maggie (Sam) Cochran. Sanders passed
away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in Tahlequah Ok, at the
age of 70 years.
Sanders
attended Bell Elementary and graduated from Stilwell High School. He
became a truck driver and later a maintenance worker for Facet and
then Schwan’s.
In 1969
Sanders met the love of his life, Irene (Stealer) Cochran. They
married on Aug 23rd, 1969.
Sanders
loved coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, taking drives and
visiting with family and friends.
Sandersis preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Maggie
Cochran, his loving wife of 51 years: Irene Cochran, Hank (his dog),
four brothers: George, Price, Martin, and Tom Cochran, three
sisters: Mary Ann McHargue, Corene Wolfe and Pat Doublehead.
He is
survived by his son: Martin Charlie “Son” Cochran; and
granddaughter: Jaycee Reece, two brothers: Jerry Wayne Cochran and
wife Nita, Albert “Chip” Cochran and wife Marilyn, sister-in-law:
Emma Cochran, brothers-in-law: Adam Wolfe, Adam Doublehead and a
host of loving nieces, nephews and friends, all of Stilwell,
Oklahoma.
Funeral
Services were held at 1 pm on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Salem
Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Josh Galcatcher and Gary
Flynn officiating. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery, Stilwell,
OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home,
Stilwell, OK.
