Neva Gail (Rich) Brown

 


April 29, 1954 - January 16, 2021

 

Neva Gail (Rich) Brown was born April 29, 1954 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Lawrence Christopher Rich and Rentha Mae (Daniels) Rich. She departed this earth on January 16, 2021 in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 66 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

Neva was a retired CPA, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and had a passion for quilting with her best friend Cheryl Kimble. Neva achieved one of her bucket lists by eating Maine Lobster on Maine Ocean and traveling to the National Parks in the United States, which we hit a bunch of them while traveling with our good friends Jim and Rhonda Carpenter.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence Rich and Rentha (Daniels) Rich, four brothers: Tommy Rich, Jimmy Rich, Larry Ray Rich, and Johnny Rich, two sisters: Novel McCoy, and Wanda Casey, and a daughter: Rhonda K. (Batt) Carlton.

Neva is survived by her loving husband of almost 49 years: Roy G. Brown, two children: Jason Brown and wife Denise, and Amanda Brown and husband Jeff Kidd all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Son-In-Law: Shannon Carlton of Westville, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Brett Brown, Ashley Brown, Angelyn Brown, and Michael Bird, Norman “Piper” Livers, Kallie Jo Kidd all of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Steven Carlton of Westville, Oklahoma, Mercedes Carlton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Weston “Possum” Carlton, McKenley Carlton all of Westville, Oklahoma, great grandchildren: Brantley Bird, and Hudson Bird both of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Five sisters: Kay Bolin, Sue Poor, Judy Batt, and Frances Unger and husband James, and Phyllis and husband Rick Kimble all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. 5 in-laws: Myrtle Stages of Shamrock, Texas, Troy and Anita Brown of Sublette, Kansas, Opal King, Wanda Faye Buckner of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Haley and Tracy Kay of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Graveside Service was held at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
