Melinda Jane Benham, daughter of Levi and Phyllis (Allison) Cantrell, was born
September 6, 1959 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 11,
2021 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 61.
Melinda graduated from Stilwell High School in 1977. She was a member of the
First Christian Church. She spent the entirety of her life making sure her girls
became strong, independent, and hard-working women. She loved her family
and spending as much time with her grandchildren-cheering them on at every event
was a priority to her. She was married to Mike Benham November 9, 1978, in
Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was the beloved mother of Melissa and Misty and the
proud grandmother of Madison, Jaggar, Rylan, Zadyn, FynLee, and OakLee.
Melinda was proceded in death by her parents, Levi and Phyllis Cantrell and one
brother, Ronald Cantrell.
Survivors include Mike Benham, of the home in Stilwell, two sisters Barbara
Barnett and Cheryl Eubanks with husband Rick of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Two
daughters Melissa Eagle with husband, Robert, and Misty Nelson with husband
Payton, all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. She leaves behind many friends and
family.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at
Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Eldon Wilson officiating.
Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
