Ruth Lavonne Kent
October 6, 1920 - September 11, 2006
Ruth Lavonne Kent, the daughter of Elisha Brown and Lottie (Doan) Brown, was born on October 6, 1920 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 11, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahma at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 5 days.
Ruth married the love of her life, Boyd Kent, on December 25, 1941 and to this union 3 children were born: Alta, Bill and Betty.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Boyd Kent, daughter: Alta Arnall, 1 grandson: Billy Boyd Kent, and 5 brothers: Franklin Harrison, Wales, Lincoln and Gaylord Brown.
She is survived by her son; Billy Kent, daughter; Betty New, 1 brother; Calvin Brown, 1 sister; Elizabeth Littlejohn, and 7 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Jim Walker and Bro. Joe Morgan officiating.
Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
