Mildred L. Tate, the daughter of J.L. Lively and Grace (Brown) Lively, was born March 22, 1936, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and departed this life April 16, 2013, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years and 24 days.
Mildred grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon. On May 9, 1959, she married Harvey Merle Tate in Forest Grove, Oregon. They moved to Watts, Oklahoma to make their home in 1970, where their home remains. This union was blessed with four children, Laurie, Dave, Terry and Danny.
Mildred worked many years as a factory worker for Brand Rex. She enjoyed flowers, painting, working outside, music, dancing, cooking and canning. Most of all, she loved watching her five grandkids.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Harvey Tate, son, Danny Tate and one sister, Mavis Lee Lively.
Her surviving family includes her daughter, Laurie, Tate, of the home; sons, Dave Tate, Terry Tate and wife, Carole, all of Watts; sister, Hazel Frazier, of Oregon; brother, Ronnie Lively, of Oregon; five grandchildren, Tina, Billy, Harvey, Henry and Amanda, and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to Roberts and Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
