Owen Junior Snyder, son of Ernest and Phoebe (Morris) Snyder, was born on June 3, 1929 in Clovis New Mexico and passed from this life on Thursday, August 19, 2013 in Lowell, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 12 days.
Owen was a longtime resident of the area. He was known and liked by all who were a part of his life. Owen married Patsy Reese on December 21, 1952 and the Lord blessed them with over 60 years of marriage and a large, loving family. He supported his family as a truck driver and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Owen was an incredible man, husband, father and friend who will be deeply missed.
His parents: Ernest and Phoebe Snyder preceded him in death.
Remaining behind to keep his memory alive in their hearts, Owen’s wife: Pat Snyder of the home in Watts, OK, children: Bo Snyder and wife Melody of Siloam Springs, AR, Sheila Benham and husband Lloyd of Watts, C J Snyder and wife Marsha of Watts, Cheryl Rakeshaw and husband Jon of Siloam Springs, Cliff Snyder and wife Amy of Watts, Skeet Snyder of Watts, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, brothers: Fuz Snyder and wife Janice of Claremore, OK, Bill Snyder and wife Patty of Tahlequah, OK, Dale Snyder and wife Margie of Westville, OK, sisters: Geraldine Sloan of Westville, Melba Hannah and husband Bob of Lowell, AR, Betty Christian of Tahlequah. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services at 11 am on Monday, August 19, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery, Westville, OK with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK
