Ahnawake Morris
February 21, 1928 - July 11, 2009
Funeral services for Ahnawake Morris were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Hampton and Roger Byrd officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
Ahnawake Brooks Morris was born February 21, 1928, in Chewey, Oklahoma to Edna Bartlett. She passed from this life July 11, 2009, at her home in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Ahnawake was married to Alvis Morris on July 22, 1950, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She worked for Peterson Industry for several years.
Ahnawake was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, Alvis Morris, one grandson, Jason Hammer and a special aunt, Eula Manning Hammer.
She is survived by her children, Della Kay Morris, Jeannie Davis, both of Westville, Ricky Morris, of the home, Michael Morris and wife, Pam, of Westville and Carol Byrd and husband, Roger, of Siloam Springs, AR; grandchildren, Johnna and Bryan O’Neal, Brett Manning, Bradley and Christina Davis, Marissa Morris, Cody and Alishia Morris, Kendall and Josh Hembree, Jarrett and Amy Hammer; great grandchildren, Nikayla, Brennan, Damian, Kendra, Krista, Kenzie, Colbey, Tyler, Tiara and Brock and great-great grandson, Griffin.
