Oneta Madge Hampton was born on September 2, 1917 in Watts, OK to John Fain and Margret Bertha (Barker) Fain. She passed away on March 23, 2012 in West Siloam Springs, OK at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 21 days.
She married Chester Hampton of Chewey, Ok on September 21, 1938. She was a very loving mother and grandmother to her family. She was a member of the Illinois River Baptist Church and also enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending to her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Margret Fain, her husband; Chester Hampton, one daughter; Judy Hampton, one daughter in law; Pauline Hampton, her brothers; Gordon Fain, Jarvy Fain, Jim Fain and Ward Fain, her sisters; May Carnes, Hazel Garret, Irene Williams and a special mention; Jason Shackelford.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her sons; Kenneth Mac Hampton of Westville, OK, Chester Wayne Hampton and wife Marlyn of Chewey, OK, her daughter; Janeice Hampton of Chewey, OK, 5 grandchildren; Wade Hampton and wife Wendy of Westville, OK, Lorrie Morrison of Eucha, OK, Kevin Hampton and wife Gina of Springdale, AR, Angie Grogan and husband Frank of Chewey, OK, April Hendren of Tulsa, OK, thirteen great grandchildren; Keina Reed and husband Brett, Krysti Hampton, Kenzie Hampton, Dustin Dale, Kelby Yocham, Lane Hampton, Jay Hampton, Chance Brown, Shania Brown, Cade Brown, Tristan Doyle, Kaitlyn Ellis and Landon Ellis. One great great grandchild; Rayleigh Reed, 4 nephews; Jerry Waldrop, Jimmy Bradford, Gary Fain and Tommy Fain, one niece; Vera Fain, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Roberts Chapel with Bro. James Duffield officiating. Interment followed in the New Hope Cemetery.
