Odessa B. Fowler
June 17, 1925-June 28, 2008
Odessa B. Fowler, was born June 17, 1925, in Watts, Oklahoma to Otis Nickens and Ada (Casey) Nickens.
She departed this life June 28, 2008, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital at 83 years of age.
On September 10, 1952, Odessa was married to Audie Dean Fowler in Bentonville, Arkansas. Odessa was a lifetime resident of the Watts and Westville area.
She was a member of the Old Baptist Mission where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She worked as a store clerk, headstart teacher and helped her beloved husband with their cow and calf operation.
Odessa's love for the Lord was an inspiration to many and she will be loved and long remembered by many.
Odessa was preceded in death by her husband, Audie Dean Fowler, her parents, two sons, Audie Dean Fowler, II, and William Homer Fowler and one sister, Jerry Erickson.
She leaves behind her children, Deanna J. Edgmon, of Westville, OK., Brian T. Fowler and wife, Desiree, of Westville; three sisters, Bonnie Chapman and husband, Gene, of Baschor, MO., Jackie Buchanan and husband, Jerry, of Neosho, MO., and Floretta Cox, of Siloam Spring, AR., two grandchildren, Marlana Edgmon and Dean Edgmon, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Edgmon, two step grand daughters, Mishell and Eleona, much loved Sue Johnston, Jason "Bub" Harrelson, extended daughters, Debbie Williams, Pasty Caviness and Abbie Beeler and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with Bro. Tim Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
