Vicy
Kathern Fletcher, daughter of Andrew George Bouyear and Emma (Ahrens) Bouyear,
was born on June 6, 1933 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and departed this life on
Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones in Watts,
Oklahoma.
She
attended Watts Public Schools and met her future husband, Cecil, in Watts.
They married in Bentonville, Arkansas on January 15, 1951 and shortly thereafter
in 1953, they moved to Siloam Springs. Vicy, Cecil and their family lived
in Siloam Springs until 1984, when they made the move to Watts.
Vicy
worked at Allen’s Canning Company as a caser to help Cecil support their
family.
Her
hands were always busy with tending flowers, sewing, embroidery and making her
well known Chocolate Pies, that she loved making for her family and friends.
Vicy
cherished every moment spent with her family and they always came first in her
life.
She
collected porcelain dolls throughout her lifetime.
Vicy was
preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Emma Bouyear, her husband: Cecil,
sisters: Lizzie, Martha and Johnnie, brothers: George and Jerry, granddaughter:
Shonda Webb.
She
leaves behind a devoted and loving family to keep her memory alive. They
include her children: Rosie Wright and husband Kenneth of Watts, OK, George
Fletcher and wife Norma of Westville, OK, Carol Barnes and husband Willard of
Watts, Reta January of Highfill, AR, Dolly Callahan of the home in Watts,
brother: Allison Bouyear, sister: Elsie Tippit, 10 grandchildren, 20 great
grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
Graveside services were held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at New Hope
Cemetery, Westville, OK with Minister Jodi Bonet officiating. Interment
followed under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
