Services for Sarah Jane Johnson, 46, librarian at the Peavine School, were held Thursday, May 14, 1992, at the Mulberry Tree Baptist Church with the Rev. Gil Hooper and Rev. Clayton Bolin officiating. Interment was in the Mulberry Tree Cemetery under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
She was born August 26, 1946 in Adair County to Raymond and Josie (Blackbird) Chewey, and died Monday 11 at Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah. She was married to Nick Johnson in 1966.
At Peavine School, she was active in Four-H, Parent Teachers Association, and the Christian Children's Fund. She was a member of the Mulberry Tree Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille, and one brother.
Survivors include: her husband, Nick Johnson of the home; two sons, Darryl Wayne and Stanley Ray Johnson of the home; two daughters, Sherry Jackson, Stilwell, and Stephanie Renea Johnson of the home; two brothers, Johnson and Joe Chewey, both of Stilwell and one granddaughter.
