George William Limore
October 10, 1923-February 19, 2008
George William Limore, son of James and Rose Edna (Denny) Limore, was born October 10, 1923, in Nicut, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 19, 2008, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 9 days.
George married the love of his life, Mary Jones on July 14, 1951, and to this union 7 children were born; Willie, Cheryl, Karen, Teresa, Kevin, Mary June and Lori.
George worked in construction for most of his life. George loved to go fishing, play dominoes, cards, pool, playing horseshoes, gardening, farming, watching OU football, and was an avid coon hunter, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter; Mary June Limore, 2 sisters; Audrey Sauls and her husband Junior, Wynoma Partain and her husband Cecil.
George is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 56 years; Mary Limore of the home, children; Willie Limore of Sallisaw, OK., Cheryl Kimble and husband Mike of Bunch, OK., Karen Hardbarger and husband Darrell of Stilwell, OK., Teresa Batt and husband Ronnie of Salina, OK., Kevin Limore and wife Mary Sue of Stilwell, OK., Lori Kimble and husband Andy of Bunch, OK., 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 brother; Edgar Limore and wife Mary Jane of Bunch, OK., 3 sisters; Florene Hagan and husband John of Broken Arrow, OK., Dorothy Asbill of Bunch, OK, Barbara Gandy and husband Jimmy of Choctaw, OK., several other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.
Memorial services were held, Friday, February 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Greasy Church with Bro. Udell Denny officiating.
Private family interment was held in the Limore Family Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Stilwell, OK.
