Edward Lee Feathers, son of Birdie Marie (Killer) Baldridge and Sessler Feathers was born September 23, 1948 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on August 15, 2015 at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Edward was a member of Chuculate Baptist Church. He loved all of his church family. He loved his children, grandchildren and his family. He also enjoyed spending time at the Stilwell Community Center and was a friend to all who came there. He spent a lot of time when he was able to just ride around town.
Edward served his country proudly with valor in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He was wounded during his service and received honors to include the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, RVN Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one daughter.
He is survived by three sons; Michael Keahbone and wife Jennifer their children; Hannah, Mikah and Sarah of Oklahoma City, OK, Anthony Hawk of Ada, OK, Keith Feathers married to Mindy and their children; Joseph of Muskogee, OK, Briannah, Jeremiah and Kaeleigh of Stilwell, OK, one daughter; Denise Feathers and her daughter, Christy of Stilwell, OK, one brother; Michael Feathers and wife Tina of Waldorf, MD, four sisters; Norma Lowe and husband Tim of Stilwell, OK, Fan Robinson and husband Ricky of Kansas, OK, Mary Feathers of Stilwell, OK, and Viola Lopez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Chuculate Baptist Church, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Don Sanders and Deacon Larry Leach officiating.
Interment followed at Killer Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
