Funeral services for Billy Joe "Bobby" Winkler, age 59, of Rockmart, Georgia, were held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Glen Hopkins and Don Edmonds officiating.

Interment followed at Honey Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Billy Joe "Bobby" Winkler the son of Columbus Lee Winkler and Nora (Moreland) Winkler, was born May 19, 1948, in Ventura, California.
He passed from this life on April 1, 2008 in Dallas, Georgia at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 13 days.
On December 2, 1978, Bobby was married to Jill Clayton in Decatur, Georgia and this union was blessed with a daughter, Nora, who was his #1 priority. Bobby and Jill moved from Decatur to Rockmart, Georgia, where they currently resided. Bobby was in the trucking industry for 30 years and worked as a regional truck driver for Fed Ex National.
His interests included reading, football, politics, listening to classic rock and roll music, and spending time with his family. His quick wit and love for helping others made him a joy to be around. Bobby will be remembered as a man who never said a harsh word about anyone.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters; Fena Mae Eli and Shirley Barker and two infant sisters.
He leaves behind a loving family which includes his wife of 29 years, Jill Winkler, of the home, one daughter; Nora Winkler of the home, three sisters; Betty Huntley of Praire Grove, AR, Joyce Mullins and husband Don, and Inola McElroy, all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. A stepbrother, Tommy Hill and wife Judy of Vernon, TX and a host of friends and relatives.
