Emett Hopkins, son of Eula Hopkins was born on December 30, 1938, in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 3, 2015, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

He was an oil field worker and independent truck driver. In his younger years, he enjoyed bull riding and coon hunting. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and spending time with his grandson, Luke.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Hopkins and son, Jimmy Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Hopkins, of the home; daughters, Sandy Curry and husband, David, of Westville, OK, Vickie Vaughan and husband, Turon, of Stilwell, OK; son, Melvin Hopkins and wife, Karalee, of Westville, OK. He is also survived by his grandchildren and numerous friends.

Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Honey Hill Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Hopkins officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
