Kathryn Lynn Akin was born to Gaylord and Patsy (Pendley) Wolf in Oakland, California on April 30, 1956 and passed from this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 16 days.
Kathryn was well known in the Stilwell area. She spent 13 years as the Office Manager for the Martin Medical Center. Her life changed forever when she met and married Duane Akin on September 8, 1973. The Lord blessed them with love and a wonderful family. Kathy was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her time here was all too brief and she will be deeply missed.
Preceding her in death was her father: Gaylord Wolf and her son: Eric Akin.
She is survived by her husband: Duane Akin of the home, children: Jennifer Reynolds and husband Kevin, Matthew Akin and wife Deanna, grandchildren: Kristopher Reynolds, Nikolas Reynolds, Breanna Reynolds and Brandon Reynolds, Ashton Workman, Jocelyn Akin, Zackary Akin, Alexandria Akin, Madalan Workman, all of Stilwell, mother: Patsy Wolf of Stilwell, brother; Mike Wolf and wife Beverly of Westville, OK, Timothy Wolf and wife Carrie of Stilwell, Teresa Arteaga of Stilwell, Valerie Pelayo and husband Luis of Vacaville, CA, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stilwell, OK with Pastor Terry Tatum officiating. Interment followed at Honey Hill Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
