Anna Belle Hitcher, daughter of Nick and Joanna Manus Fourkiller, was born on February 10, 1954 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014 at her home at the age of 60 years.
She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fourkiller Baptist Church. Anna was married to S. Joe Hitcher.
She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and an aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Anna also liked to fish, cook, clean and visit with friends that came by. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Anna worked for the Cherokee Nation for many years as a Head Start Teacher, Home Health Aide and with the disabilities services as an Assistant Coordinator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter: Tamara Danielle Hitcher, brothers: Jimmy, Nick, William and Ned Fourkiller, sisters: Louise Soap and Carolyn Holloway, brotherinlaws: C.J. Soap and Billy Jack Crittenden.
Anna is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband: Sammy Joe Hitcher of the home in Stilwell, OK, daughter: Christina Wolfe and husband Travis of Stilwell, son: Zeke Hitcher of Oklahoma City, OK, granddaughter: Janisha Wolfe of Stilwell, grandson: Landon Hitcher of Oklahoma City and a special friend: Shela Watie.
Many other relatives and friends also survive her. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at RobertsReedCulver Chapel with Bro. Leon Hitcher officiating. Interment followed at Fourkiller Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
