Beatrice Carrington
August 14, 1911 - February 4, 2006
Beatrice Carrington, the daughter of Haden Colvin and Belle (Payne) Colvin, was born August 14, 1911 in Westville. She went home to be with her Lord on February 4, 2006 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, five months and 20 days.
On January 7, 1933, Beatrice was married to Fredrick “Fred” Carrington in Westville. Together, they pastored for 64 years with the Assembly of God organization. Their last pastorate was the Proctor Community Church in Proctor, Oklahoma.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Rev. Fred Carrington, on December 19, 1996.
Surviving family includes two sons, Rev. Clete Carrington and wife, Darlene of Siloam Springs, AR and Rev. Wendell Carrington and wife, Connie of Waxachachie, TX, ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Al Lowe, Rev. Clete Carrington and Bishop Wendell Carrington officiating. Interment followed at Foreman Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
