A pioneer Westville citizen, W.L. BUCHANAN, age 81, died in a Muskogee hospital Wednesday morning following a major operation.
The body was brought here Wednesday afternoon for the funeral to be held at the Roberts Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
Burial will be made in the Foreman cemetery.
Mr. BUCHANAN was born and raised at Prairie Grove and had been a citizen of this city for some 25 years. His wife died here last October.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters: William BUCHANAN of Los Angeles, John BUCHANAN of Pueblo, Mrs. Geneva HILLARD of Ponca City, Mrs. Marie CATON, Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Grace HALE of Webbers Falls. Nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. D.H. ROLLINS of this city and Mrs. Kate COX, Prairie Grove, Ark. also survive.

Funeral services were held here last Friday afternoon for W.L. BUCHANAN, pioneer Westville citizen, and burial made in the Foreman Cemetery.
William Lee BUCHANAN was born October 16th, 1861, at Prairie Grove, Ark.; was married to Lucy EXTINE at Ennis, Texas, to which union was born five children, two boys and three girls; William BUCHANAN of Los Angeles; John BUCHANAN of Pueblo; Mrs. Geneva HILLARD of Ponca City; Mrs. Marie CATON, Sioux City, Iowa; and Mrs. Grace HALE of Webbers Falls; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. D.H. ROLLINS of this city and Mrs. Kate COX, Prairie Grove, Ark., also survive.
