Lance Franklin Fishinghawk, the son of Leo and Virginia (Breckenridge) Fishinghawk, was born April 29, 1967, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He departed this life on May 4, 2015, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 48.
Lance was a lifelong resident of Stilwell and attended Peavine Elementary School. After graduating from Stilwell High School in 1985, he went to work for a construction company traveling out-of-state for many years. He then obtained his electricians license and continued to work in that field to the present. Lance later attended NSU for three years working toward a biology degree.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Fishinghawk, two brothers, Larry and Leo Fishinghawk and one sister, Letha Fishinghawk.
Lance leaves behind, his mother, Virginia Fishinghawk, of Stilwell; son, Heston Fishinghawk, of Stilwell; daughter, Ashton Fishinghawk, of Stilwell; siblings, Linda Johnson and husband, Sammy, of Stilwell, Lawrence Fishinghawk and wife, Robin, of Tahlequah; Jodie Fishinghawk, of Stilwell, Bobbi (Fishinghawk) Merrie and husband, Michael, of Stilwell; nieces and nephews, Crystal Hammer, Robert “Gator” Haney, Mashell Hooper, Hunter Fishinghawk and Wyatt Fishinghawk.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Fishinghawk Family Cemetery with Rev. Audie Vaughan officiating. Burial is under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Stilwell High School Senior Scholarship Fund.
