Amelia Dawn Sanchez-Garcia, daughter of Rachel (Gonzalis) Sanchez and the late Erasmo Sanchez, was born on July 3, 1980 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She flew home to be with Our Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the tender age of 37 years, 11 months and 18 days.
She married Hector Garcia on March 21, 2009 and they were blessed with two children: Myah and Hector, Jr.
Amelia was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. She gave her life to the Lord on the 19th of May 2018. She enjoyed watching her son play t-ball and basketball. Amelia also enjoyed her mother daughter days with Myah. They would go shopping or she would watch her play basketball. Amelia had a very special bond with her aunt Sandra, her mother Rachel and her sister Sonja.
Amelia liked to joke around with everyone she talked to and liked to watch OU and the Thunder play. She also liked watching cooking shows.
She was a caring person and would always greet you with a smile.
Amelia was preceded in death by her son: Christian Erasmo Garcia, daughter: Mia Lasara Garcia, father: Erasmo Sanchez, sister: Michelle "Usdi" Sanchez, grandfather: Chester "Jim" Gonzalis, grandmothers: Thelma Gonzalis, Epifania Sanchez, uncle: Zachary "Jabby" Gonzalis and aunt: Debra Gonzalis.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband: Hector Garcia, children: Myah Garcia and Hector Garcia, Jr., mother: Rachel Gonzalis, sister: Sonja Gonzalis, niece: Shaylyn Navarro, nephew: Jose "Chico" Navarro, grandfather: Salatiel Sanchez, 11 uncles, 8 aunts, special friends: Ed and Margory Bissonette. Many other relatives and friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Gary Leach officiating.
Interment followed at Feathers Cemetery, Stilwell.
