Charley Cornsilk
August 1, 1936 - September 5, 2009
Charley Cornsilk, son of Jesse and Sissy (Bark) Cornsilk was born August 1, 1936 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life September 5, 2009 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 4 days.
Charley was a carpenter by trade for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents: Jesse and Sissy Cornsilk, Wife; Myrtle Cornsilk and one grandchild; Latitia Derrinwater.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes 6 children; Janey Adair and husband John, Teresa Malicoat and husband Glenn, Charlene Cornsilk and husband Higinio Rendon all of Stilwell, Ok, Rita Howard and husband David of Peggs, Ok, Bernice Barbaree and husband Larry of Moody, Ok, Lisa Smith and Husband Darrell of Tahlequah, Ok. 14 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, Brothers; John Cornsilk and Danny Cornsilk both of Tahlequah, Ok, Robert Cornsilk of Stilwell, Ok, 1 Sister; Jesse Craig and Husband Jim of Tahlequah, Ok, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services were held, Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairfield Cemetery with Bro. Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
