Ginger Kay Springwater-Shubin, daughter of Albert and Johnann (Brewer) Springwater, was born on June 1, 1947 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years.
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed opportunities to cook for her family and friends. Her hobbies included bead and leather work. Ginger made many beautiful pieces over the years. She also enjoyed going to the casino, seeing friends and visiting.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Johnann (Brewer) Springwater, brother: Albert Springwater, Jr. and a special friend: Richard Davis, who passed from this life just two weeks ago.
A loving and devoted family survives her. They include her children: Ricky Shubin and wife Vivian of Fayetteville, Ark., Brenda Howell and husband Matthew of Chino Valley, Ariz., grandchildren: Ryan Howell of Chino Valley, Jordan Shubin and Katrina Shubin of Stilwell, Hunter Shubin of Tulsa, siblings: Loretta Tolliver of Welling, Dennis Springwater of Park Hill, Roberta Gibson of Okmulgee, Polly Teehee of Claremore, Raymond Springwater of Nashville, Tenn. and former husband Alfred Shubin.
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her. Ginger was a warm, loving person and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 26, 2016 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Rev. Chuck Glass officiating. Interment followed at Elm Grove Cemetery, Stilwell.
