JL "Rusty" Smith son of Louis Leonard and Wanda Joe (Snelson) Smith was born May 23, 1955 in Aiken, South Carolina and departed this life on October 25, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 2 days.

Rusty worked for Washington County Road Department for many years to provide for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandson Walter. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 niece and 3 nephews.

Rusty is survived by his family that includes his children; Bryan Smith of Stilwell, OK, Jessica Smith of Hobbs, NM, 2 grandchildren; Walter and Kayley, 2 aunts; Hazel Bobo of Eureka Springs, AR, Vivian (Bib) Goodnight of Alpena, AR. Sisters; Linda Wandrey and husband Gus of Oak Grove, AR, Teresa Cohenour of Seigleman, MO, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held, Monday, October 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed- Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Eugene Kester officiating. Interment followed in the Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
