William “Bill” Ross, the son of Tom and Nettie (Caton) Ross, was born March 31, 1940 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and he departed this life on March 26, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 28 days.
 

Bill enjoyed life and he loved his family. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was fishing, doing yardwork or just enjoying time with family and friends. Spending time with his grandkids meant a lot to him, especially watching all of their sporting events and taking Lacey for rides. He was a family man and loved his family. He enjoyed going to church and he was a member of the Church of Christ in Stilwell. Bill touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers James Ross, Jess Ross and Rufus Ross and his sisters Rosia Holland, Martha Roberts, and Juanita Griggs.
 

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of over 42 years Margaret Ross of the home; his daughters Melissa Ross and Valerie Stane and husband Bobby all of Stilwell; his brothers Emmett Ross of Stilwell, Albert Ross and wife Janet of Tahlequah and Charles Ross and wife Peggy of Stilwell; his sister Katheryn Martin of Coweta and his grandchildren Lacey Andrews, Kylie Stane, Morgan Livers and Isaac Livers all of Stilwell. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at Stilwell Church of Christ with Mr. Larry Hatfield officiating.

Interment followed at Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
