Gordon “Captain” Northington, son of Robert and Belva (Winters) Northington, was born on October 17, 1937 at home in Blair, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years and 11 months.
Gordon enjoyed visiting with friends and family, telling stories, playing Checkers, Dominos, all types of board games and loved going to the casino.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Belva Northington and niece: Donna Croley.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his daughter: Carol Briscoe-Tino and husband Rick of Gulf Shores, AL, granddaughter: Samantha Briscoe of Santa Barbara, CA, two sisters: Alma Miller and husband Kenneth of Stilwell, OK, Joan Giles and husband Jerry of Chapel Hill, TN, one brother: Darrell Northington and wife Gloria of Lakeland, FL, several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Memorial services at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Rose officiating.
