Myrna Mae Depue - Kelley was born February 19, 1938 and passed from this life on February 12, 2020.
She was born to Arther and Georgia Depue in Brighton, Colorado. She married young to James Smith, to which this union brought five children. Later, she continued to raise her children as a single mom. Sometime later, she married Art Kelley, and lived the remainder of their marriage in Elm Grove, outside of Stilwell, Ok. Myrna was a charter member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. She loved her church and did anything she could to assist in ministry there. For many years, she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Myrna loved to crochet. She was well known for her crocheted doilies, afghans, and Indian dolls. And Myrna loved to cook! She would feed anyone who came through the door of her home, by asking, “Do you want something to eat?” Myrna worked a few years at Stilwell Foods, then worked fifteen plus years at Tyson Hatchery. In her later years, she worked as a “Granny” at Stilwell Preschool for six years. Myrna had always been up and about and thriving at life until she suffered a stroke in 2011, and became incapacitated. But she still had that spark in her eye and communicated the best she could. She lived at Stilwell Nursing Home from 2012 until her passing.Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
