Milford “Ned” Tidwell son of John William Jr. and Emma (Scott) Tidwell was born June 10, 1938 in Claremore, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on June 9, 2013 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 29 days.
He was a member of Echota Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his cousin, Susie Bell. Milford started school at Seneca at age 5 and later attended Chilacco Indian Boarding School. He served in the National Guard and worked at Stilwell Foods as a forklift driver for over 33 years.
Milford was preceded in death by his parents; his 2nd wife; Lizzie Tidwell, 2 sisters, 1 great grandson; River Kyle Beaver and granddaughter; Maxie Tidwell.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his first wife: Mary (Catron) Tidwell, his children: Michael Tidwell and Dodie Brown and husband George, 11 grandchildren: Savannah Beaver, Robin John Beaver, Rodney Joe Beaver, Robbie James Beaver, Devoe Brown, Retha Brown, Shania Brown, Grace Brown, George Buck Brown, Michael George Bunch, Bocephus Wing and other relatives, Mike and Dodie’s half brother and sister: Ronnie & Carol Tidwell and children: Matthew, Chloe and Reagan of Stilwell, Andrea Tidwell and Adrian of Stilwell, sister: Daggie Walker of Cherokee County, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Echota Baptist Church with Bro. Ellis Foster officiating. Interment followed at Echota Cemetery.
