Marvin "Dolly" Galcatcher
Feb 14, 1956 - Mar 2018

ŠThe Stilwell Democrat Journal

Wednesday, Mar 28, 2018

Submitted by Jan Grooms

Marvin Galcatcher, known as (Dolly) to family and friends, passed from this life at the age of 62 years, one month and nine days. He was born on February 14, 1956 to Emma (Teehee) Galcatcher and Josh Galcatcher.

Marvin was a loving husband and was a friend to whomever he met. Marvin was saved on April 7, 2013, Sunday evening at 5:50 p.m. He could tell you exactly when. He was always ready to tell anyone about the Lord and pray with or for them. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and attended faithfully until his health prevented him from going as much as he would have wished.

Marvin enjoyed simple things in life, going fishing when he was still able, going to flea markets and just going riding around with his wife. He collected different things from guitars to model cars. In his younger days, he enjoyed working on old cars and fixing them up. His weekends were spent taking his old ’64 to different places entering car show. He thought a lot of his dog “Mr. Little”, who always kept him company. Marvin also enjoyed visiting with family and friends over the phone.

He worked for Tyson Foods for over twenty years, most of that time as an egg truck driver, until his retirement due to health reasons.

Marvin is preceded in death by his son Jonah, brothers; Johnny, Woodrow and Monroe and nephew Chris Galcatcher and his parents, Josh and Emma.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loretta, of the home in Stilwell; sister, Francine and husband Leon Frogg, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

All of us will miss his smile and special laugh. Marvin will always be remembered in the hearts of those that loved him.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. GaryFlynn officiating.

Interment will follow at Echota Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Online condolences can be made at hartfuneralhome.net.
