Ewing Chapel Cemetery
Carol L. Ruben, son of John and Agnes Mae (Nolan) Ruben, was born on December 24, 1926 in Okay, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with his Lord on November 17, 2013 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Carol served his country proudly in the Army during WW II. He married Rosie on May 16, 1998 and they were blessed with over 15 years of marriage. Carol was a hard worker and supported his family as a carpenter. He leaves behind many friends as a testimony to his kindness.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John & Agnes Ruben, sons: Lloyd & Ricky Ruben.
He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife: Rosie Ruben of the home in Stilwell, OK, daughter: Katherine Sandvik of Escondido, CA, sons: John Ruben of Muskogee, OK, Craig Ruben of Myrtle Beach, SC, Gary Ruben of Stilwell, sisters: Shirley Tinney of Tulsa, OK, Marilyn Smith of Tulsa, OK, Jeannie Ruben of Muskogee, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, extended family and many other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services at 10 am on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Pentecostal Holiness Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Rev. Terry Tatum officiating. Interment followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
