Raleigh Allen Olive, son of Raleigh Allen Olive, Sr. and Laverne Marie (Treat) Olive, was born on August 6, 1948 in Yale, Oklahoma and departed from this life on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 18 days.
Raleigh was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He loved to visit with friends and strangers. His family was deeply important to him and he loved every moment he spent with them. He met many new people and made many friends while he worked as an operator of a service station. His presence will be deeply missed.
Preceding Raleigh in death is his father: Raleigh Olive, Sr., brother: Terry Olive and grandson: Brett Sullivan.
Those remaining to keep his memory are his wife: Lizzie Della Olive of the home in Stilwell, OK, children: Ralagene Olive of Stilwell, Della Sue Olive of Summers, AR, Joanna Sullivan and husband Leo of Holdenville, OK, grandchildren: Weston Olive, Terry York, Rachel Swasko of Siloam Springs, AR, Travis Olive, Tasha Fain and husband Mike, Sean Baird, Alea Fain of Stilwell, Matthew Sullivan, Josh Sullivan, Dusty Sullivan, Lyssa Sullivan of Holdenville, OK, great grandchildren: Alen Fain, Darrell Fain, Marie Fain, Nathan Olive of Stilwell, brother: Richard Olive of Stilwell, sister: Joyce Horn of Stilwell, mother: Marie Olive of Stilwell. Many other relatives and friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Don Waldrop officiating. Interment followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
