Phyllis L. (Crain) & Joseph "Abe" Miller
Ewing Chapel Cemetery
Phyllis Luella Miller, daughter of Charles B. and Ida (Daly) Crain, was born on October 24, 1920 in Cleveland, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 15 days.
Phyllis met her husband Abe and they married on June 3, 1939. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage and 6 children. She had been a member of the Stilwell community since 1979. Phyllis attended and was a member of the Four Corners Church of Christ for many years. She liked to garden, quilt, embroider and crochet. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Ida Crain, husband: Joseph Abram Miller in 1999, her infant son: Joseph Charles Miller in 1942, brothers: Raymond and Clifford Crain.
Surviving Phyllis are her daughters: Betty Brown and husband Don of Granite Falls, Washington, Shirley Knight and husband Gary of Grand Terrace, California, Brenda Johnson and husband Donnie of Redmond, Oregon, Chriss Bishop and husband Garvin of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Wana Sims and husband Steve of Riverside, California, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, first great-great grandchild due in August, sister: Doris Buckner of Wichita, Kansas, many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Ewing Chapel Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Leon Brashear and Glenn Hopkins officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
