Services honoring the life of Murta Bell Catcher were held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma.
Murta was born in Davidson, Arkansas on October 24, 1933 to William and Missouri (Young) McAnelly. Murta passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the age of 84. Murta married Floyd Catcher and their union was blessed with six children. Murta was a wonderful wife and mother. She adored her family and loved spending time with them. Murta was the ultimate homemaker. She was the second oldest of 10 siblings so she was always taking care of others. Murta loved cooking and was an excellent baker. Her hot rolls were amazing. Murta loved nature and enjoyed the outdoors, especially if she was fishing. She loved fishing and was quite the fisherwoman! Murta was a creative writer and enjoyed writing about her family and the many adventures of her great life. Murta also had a talent for crotcheting. It was her wish to wrap all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in one of her handmade afghans as a token of her love.This site may be freely linked, but not duplicated in any way without consent.
