Billy Joe Bland son of George William and Edith Melvina (Hall) Bland, was born February 7, 1961 in Muldrow, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 8, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 55 years, 7 months and 1 day.
 

He worked as a pump man for George’s Processing Company. He always enjoyed a great time spent with friends and family.
 

Billy was preceded in death by his father;  George Bland, brother; Bobby Bland, paternal grandparents; W.P. and Beatrice Bland, maternal grandparents; George and Laura Hall and nephew; C.J. Bland.
 

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his mother; Edith Melvina Bland of Stilwell, brother; Randy Bland and wife Pam of Dewey, sisters; Deborah Peterson of Riverton, Wyo., Brenda Burr, Dorinda Gillaspy and husband Bobby all of Stilwell, sister-in- law; Linda Pickle and husband Mike of Keota, nephews; Robert, Jack, Mark and Scotty, nieces; Jennifer, May and Kendra, several great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.


Graveside services were held Monday, September 12, 2016 in the Ewing Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Joey Ketcher officiating.

Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
