Darrell Wayne Sanders, son of Roy and Lennie (Edgmon) Sanders was born November 8, 1940 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and departed this life on May 11, 2013 in Gardner, Kansas at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 3 days.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Lennie Sanders, sister; Jewell Corn, brothers; Garland Sanders and Warren Sanders.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his son; Darrell Wayne Sanders Jr. and wife Susan of Fontana, KS, 3 daughters; Becky Taylor and husband Chris of Victorville, CA, Mallory Sanders and Mandy Sanders both of Cherryvale, KS, 11 grandchildren; Lacie, Taylor, and Jacob Sanders, Kristen Traynor, Hannah, Samuel and Levi Taylor, Chase, Colsen, Caleb and Connor Sanders. 2 sisters; Margie Hammer of Westville, OK, Wanda Kindle and husband Haskell of Proctor, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Services at 2 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Roberts & Hart Chapel
