Wanda W. Morton, daughter of Caswell Thomas and Bertie Mae (Clinton) Doyle, was born on January 3, 1925 in Whitmire, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma at 93 years of age.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Wanda worked hard as a seamstress during her younger years.
She enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished time with her family. Wanda enjoyed quilting, playing scrabble, flea markets and junking at junk stores.
Wanda was a very good cook. Some of her best recipes were for cinnamon rolls, donuts and peanut butter cookies.
She was an avid reader of the Lord’s word. Wanda wore out two Bibles reading them cover to cover.
Many people were touched by her generous heart and tender smile. She leaves behind a treasure of memories for her family and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings.
Those remaining to keep her memory include her children: Larry Dean Morton and wife Glenda, Leon Morton and wife Marcella, of Westville, grandchildren: Deana Paden and husband Victor of Eufaula, Brent Morton and wife Lawanda of Stilwell, Shawnna Casazza and husband Eric of Oklahoma City, Desirae Bloomer and husband Keith of Gore, great-grandchildren:Storm Paden and Forrest Paden of Eufaula, Caitlyn Morton of Westville, and Brodie Bloomer of Gore.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Roberts & Hart Chapel, Westville, with Bro. Audie Vaughan and Bro. Victor Paden officiating. Interment followed at Downing Cemetery, Baron.
