O C McCrary

O C McCrary, was born on May 31, 1931 in a log cabin on Sugar Hill near Lincoln, Arkansas. He was the only child of Doc Woods and Zella Arvella (Kirk) McCrary.
On October 16, 1951, he married Wanza Lou Willis. They celebrated 62 years together. O C departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the age of 85 years.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Pine Island AV 12 in the Pacific, South China Sea and surrounding areas. After his tour of duty, he went on to work for Halliburton, moving to Kansas where he and Wanza raised their family.
Upon retiring to the Ozarks, O C was devoted to his passionate love of the outdoors and the catch of his life, his wife. He always felt God had blessed him with a gentle and kind wife, a large family, good friends and a beautiful place to enjoy the great outdoors.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Doc and Zella McCrary, devoted wife: Wanza, infant daughter: Karen Jean and daughter: Lisa Marlene.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his daughters: Denise (Ghazi) Jahay of Ellinwood, KS, Cheryl (Kirk) Lorenc of Peck, KS and Jana Hammonds of Westville, Ok, sons: Cliff (Carla) McCrary of Westville, Jeremy Scott (Amy) McCrary of Rogers, AR, 16 grandchildren: April (Tom) Harbaugh, Amnee (Jason) Brown, Aisha (T J) Rains, Jessica(Richard) Lorenc, Ashley Lorenc, McKenzie Hammonds, Joe (Jessica) Hall, Tracy (Shane) Duncan, Tara (Aaron) Noll, Hunter McCrary, Cheyenne McCrary, Ransom McCrary, Anderson McCrary, Chance McCrary, Ethan McCrary, Jacob McCrary and 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Downing Cemetery and Ganderville Cemetery. Donations and Memorials will be greatly appreciated.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Westville, Oklahoma with Doug Davis officiating. Interment at Downing Cemetery, Baron, Oklahoma under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, Oklahoma.
