Blackbird DOUBLEHEAD

Blackbird DOUBLEHEAD, 97 year old pioneer Cherokee Indian resident, died June 27, at the home of his son, Sam, in the Cherry Tree community, with whom he resided, following a short illness.
Services were held Tuesday, June 29, with Rev. Isaac PRITCHETT, assisted by Bro. Arthur ESSARY, officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Cherry Tree, with Roberts Funeral directors in charge of arrangements.
Mr. DOUBLEHEAD was born December 25, 1850 and resided all his life in the same community.
Other than his son, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Minnie SANDERS, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Six children preceded him in death.
Here for the funeral were two grandsons Alex and Allen SIXKILLER of Dragerton, Utah.
