Lorena Bunch
January 3, 1936-December 9, 2008
Lorena Bunch, the daughter of Samuel Bunch and Gussie Cochran Bunch, was born January 3, 1936, in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 9, 2008, in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 72.
Lorena was a life long resident of Stilwell. She worked as a cook for Stilwell Middle School for several years and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Lorena was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Church. She loved reading, flowers, traveling and visiting with friends and family on the back porch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters and three brothers, Richard, Sam Jr., and Floyd.
Her surviving family includes her children, James Workman, of Kansas City, MO, Watie Bunch, of Siloam Springs, AR, Allen Wilmoth, of Springtown, TX and Teresa Ray, of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Gary Wayne Bunch and Joe Harvey Bunch, of Stilwell; two sisters, Laura Workman and Gussie Bunch, of Stilwell, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2008, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joey Ketcher officiating. Interment followed at Doublehead Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
