Joe Leslie Brown was born on January 25, 1930 in Adair County to Lum Brown and Delia Sixkiller Brown. He departed from this life on November 11, 2013 at Quail Ridge Living Center in Siloam Springs at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 17 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Herbert Buckner, Harvey Buckner, J.T. Brown and Ned Brown, 2 sisters: Violet Black and Lorene Price Mallard and 2 nephews: Ronnie Black and Larry Price.
Joe loved to do many things, he was very talented and was always working on some kind of project while his health permitted. He loved drawing, playing dominoes, horseshoes and watching wrestling.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Daisy Stewart and husband Butch, Wendle Black and wife Leona, Darlene Black, Carl Black and wife Virginia, Preston Black and wife Shelly and Sherri Black, all of Stilwell and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services at 2 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Juke Kester and Herman Jones officiating. Interment followed at Zion Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
