Betty Sue Simmons, daughter of Cornelius Holloway and Della Mae Gibson was born August 30, 1934 and departed this life on May 31, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years,9 months and 1 day.
She spent many years in the very important role of Homemaker and loved being able to care for her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Betty Sue was preceded in death by her parents: C. E. and Della Mae Gibson Holloway; one son: Billy Wayne Stilwell; one grandson: Clay Stilwell; and two sisters: Lavada Holloway and Margaret Girdner.
She is survived a very loving family that includes her husband, Levi Simmons of the home; seven children: Grace Nofire of Stilwell: Rita Hall and husband Randall of Stilwell; Janice Williams and Bob Ford of Stilwell; Pam Burnett and husband Ron of Stilwell; Kimberly Riddle and husband Joe of Weleetka, OK; and Charles Stilwell and Sue Long. Eight grandchildren: Sonya Hummingbird, Dianna Hall, Cody Burnett, Amanda Williams, Ashley Stilwell, Richard Williams and wife Janetta and Matthew Stilwell; Step Grandchildren: Matt Riddle, Rachel Riddle, Kaitlyn Riddle, Five Great-Grandchildren: Sydney Hummingbird, Lance Williams, Summer Williams, Keith Stilwell, Gaven Arthurs and Darcy Stilwell. Five siblings: Mae Jean Hawkins, Paul Holloway, Don Holloway, Jack Holloway, and Brenda Girdner.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Clear Springs Cemetery with Bro. Jim Sanders officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
