Emma L. Cooke, daughter of Clarence King and Emma (Raper) King, was born on April 24, 1970 in Claremore, Oklahoma and passed from this life on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at 50 years of age.

Emma grew up in Kenwood, Oklahoma and moved to Arkansas with her family.  She lived most of her life in Decatur, Arkansas. She loved yard sales, rock music, singing church songs and tending to her family.  Emma loved her role as a homemaker for her family.  She took care of them lovingly.

She loved everyone she knew and everyone who knew her loved her.  She loved hugs most of all.

Everybody knew her as “Chunky”.

She was a fierce momma bear that would sacrifice everything to protect her children.  Emma was a warrior and the best of all of us.  She took a little and gave all of herself to everyone.  She just wanted to be loved and she was so easy to love.

Emma fought the warrior’s fight against diabetes for as long as she could.  She deserves to rest even though we want her here.  She was the first to offer comfort to anybody in need.  Through her own constant pain, she would comfort others.

Emma had a goofy, cute, funny sense of humor.  She was so glad when anybody visited her, she’d light up knowing she had company.

She’s going to be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, because they were a witness to her love.  It was truly incredible.  It would take many pages to brag about her.  The thing to remember most, is that she truly loved everyone and loved to be loved.

Her love will endure in our hearts.

She didn’t want to leave us, but we will see her again.

We Love You, Chunky!  We Always Will!

Emma is survived by her husband: Keoka Cooke of the home in Decatur, Arkansas, 3 sons: Jareth King, Gunnar Cooke and Ayden Cooke, all of the home, 1 daughter: Keana King of Siloam Springs, AR, her mom and pop, Kelly and Linda Waeltz of Decatur, along with many friends and loved ones.

Graveside services were held at 2 pm on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Chulio Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Pastor Sam Nakedhead officiating.  Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
