George Ross, son of Levi and Mary (Hardbarger) Ross was born May 11, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on December 9, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 28 days. George was a Christian and was a member of the Chuculate Baptist Church. He loved doing many different things for his church and church family. He was involved with church activities and he loved to sing Cherokee hymns.
After a life of hard work he loved being retired. He spent most of his time with his grandchildren. His favorite hobby was cooking hog meat for different communities or special events.
George was preceded in death by both parents, one son, Anthony Allen Ross, one brother; Ronnie Faye Ross and one sister; Emma Jane (Ross) Swimmer.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Lucille (Gann) Ross, 3 daughters; Mary Jane Ross of Bunch, OK, Vanessa Aguado of Park Hill, OK, Matilda Garcia and husband Jaime of Bunch, OK, grandchildren; Nieves, Isabelle, Jesus, Naycli and Marisol Garcia, Megan, Paula, and Fernando Aguado. 3 brothers; Albert Ross, Richard Ross both of Bunch, OK, Johnny Ray Ross and wife Robyn of Escondido, CA, 2 sisters; Lillie Ross and Ollie Ross both of Bunch, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m in the Chuculate Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Flynn officiating. Interment followed in the Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
