Leon Bunch son of Lee and Leatha (Quinton ) Bunch was born January 2, 1940 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 9, 2012 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 7 days.
He was raised in a two room log cabin with ten brothers and sisters, he could also remember seeing his mom wash his clothes in a ringer tub and just having to go across the road to get firewood. He attended Greasy school until the 8th grade. He did odd jobs for a living and he loved to play baseball and softball. Leon was known to be quite the athlete being a great fielder and powerful hitter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Lee and Leatha Bunch, brothers; Rabbit Bunch, Jody Bunch, Charlie Bunch and Herbert Bunch, sisters; Leola Beaty, Viola Holloway and Zelma Cochran.
Leon is survived by a very loving family that includes his brothers; Hubert Bunch and wife Lorene, Lee Bunch, sisters; Joanna Wofford and Kathy Gonzales all of Bunch, OK. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services were held, Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Chuculate Cemetery with Bro. Joey Ketcher officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
