Billy Gene Adair was born December 1, 1937 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Stan Watie Adair and Mary (Bunch) Adair. He departed this life on March 28, 2016 at the Stilwell Nursing Home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
Bill served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962. He became an electronic technician for Hewlett Packard where he retired after many years of faithful service.
His hobbies included gardening, growing the biggest tomatoes in the county, assisting the coaches at the local football and baseball games and visiting his boys in Washington State.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Samuel Adair, Joe Adair, an infant brother and an infant sister.
His surviving family includes two sons, Watie Robert Adair and Peter Joseph Adair, both of Vancouver, WA; two sisters, Virginia Hodge, of Welling, OK and Sue Saul, of Tulsa, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Decoration Day in May at the Chuculate Cemetery. Final arrangements were entrusted to Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
