Addie Mae Merrie, daughter of Elbert and Onada Mae (Williams) Watts was born February 13, 1931 in McCloud, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord surrounded by loved ones on February 2, 2019 in Colcord, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 19 days.
She was married to Coleman “Pete” Merrie and to this union six children were born; Stan, Donna, Patricia, Douglas, Tonna and Nikki. She enjoyed the duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning, quilting and the outdoors especially fishing with her grandkids. She was also a great cook, you would never leave her home hungry as she loved to cook for everyone in the neighborhood. She always made every grandkid their favorite dessert on holidays. Mae was a member of Faith Tabernacle for many years and was unmovable in her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Pete Merrie, son; Stan Merrie and brother; Elbert Watts.
Mae is survived by a very loving family that includes her daughter-in-law who was like a daughter; Sharol Merrie, children; Donna Merrie, Patricia Merrie, Douglas Merrie and wife Karen all of Stilwell, Tonna Merrie and partner Amy Farmer of Memphis, Tenn., and Nikki Murray of Tahlequah. Grandchildren; Kerrie Fourkiller, Michael Merrie and wife Bobbi all of Stilwell, Jeanne Parnell and husband Elvin of Smithville, Audie McMurtrey and wife Kasey of Wakefield, Kan., Sammy McMurtrey and wife Tiffany of Watson, Judy Sinclair of Stilwell, Zach Merrie and wife Amy of Bella Vista, Ark., Seth Merrie, Ryan Still, Candice Still, Kari Still, Jobey Still all of Stilwell, Jessica Merrie of Memphis, Tenn., Spencer Wadsworth and husband Grayson of Bentonville, Ark., Dee Ann Walston of Tahlequah, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Bro. Leon Hitcher and Bro. Charles Crozier officiating.
Interment followed at Chalk Bluff Cemetery, Stilwell.
