Bill Gene Gass son of Cleo (Bush) and Lewis Gass was born July 1, 1929 in West Frankfort, Illinois and departed this life on July 2, 2007 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 78 years.
Bill married the love of his life, Audrey Broad on September 15, 1948, and to this union 3 children were born; Debi, Pam and Kevin. He enjoyed the duties that followed his role as a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was drafted to the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Some of bill's favorite things to do included camping, fishing and he was an avid coin collector.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Louis Gass Jr., and Otis Gass, 1 sister, Ramona Gregory, Mother and Father-in-law; Alfred and Ramona Broad.
Bill is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 58 years; Audrey Gass of the home in Stilwell, OK., 2 daughters; Debi Make and husband Samuel of El Paso, TX, Pamela Workman and husband, Leo of Stilwell, OK., 1 son; Kevin Gass and wife Barbara of Hampshire, IL., 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Dean Thompson of West Frankfort, IL., 2 brother-in-laws; Joe Broad of Stilwell, OK and Ron Broad and wife Mary Kay of Wagoner, OK. 1 sister-in-law; Becky Chiodini of St. Louis, MO., serveral nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 5, 2007 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. George teehee officiating. Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
