Funeral services for Sandra Gail ENGLISH HIGGINS were held April 23, 1999 at the Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Terry HALL and Bro. Joe WHITE officiating. Interment followed in the Higgins family plot of Bunch cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darrel STILWELL, Jimmy TORRES, Junior KIMBLE, Jerry Lee GIRDNER, Sam BRANNON and Coy MCBROOM.
Sandra Gail HIGGINS was born July 20, 1948 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Edgar and Eva GARDNER ENGLISH. She passed from this earthly realm to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home in the Cave Springs community on April 20, 1999 at the age of 50 years and 9 months.
Sandra leaves her memories to her husband of 16 years and four months, John B. HIGGINS, three daughters, Trissona, Jondra and Hillary and one son, John; one granddaughter, Kara; her mother, Eva; one sister, Euphemia; three brothers, Melvin, Lyle and Woody, all of Okla.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Edgar ENGLISH in November 1991 and three infant brothers.
John Barton Higgins, son of Clyde Higgins and Cynthia (Perry) Higgins, was born on January 7, 1941, in Bunch, OK. He departed this life and went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2013, at the Stilwell Nursing Home at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 16 days.
John lived in the Bunch area from childhood, growing up in the Cave Springs Community. He graduated from Cave Springs High School in 1958. He joined the Army and served three years. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching football, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Jondra Higgins of Chouteau, OK; Hillary Eagle and husband John of Claremore, OK; one son, John English Higgins also of Claremore, OK; two brothers, Bill Higgins of Commerce, OK; Bruce Higgins and wife Joyce of Fairland, OK; five grandchildren: Trenton, Zachary and Sarah Higgins all of Chouteau, OK; Parker and Chandlar Eagle both of Claremore, OK, numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Gail (English) Higgins; father, Clyde Higgins; mother Cynthia Higgins; two sisters Betty (Higgins) Parker and Beryl (Higgins) Vestring.
John’s memory will forever be alive in our hearts, never to be forgotten; and with that, his memorial service will be March 8, 2013 at 10:00a.m. at Hart Funeral Home. His burial will be directly following at Bunch Cemetery.
