Pearl Hazel Croley daughter of Claud and Irene (Cornallis) Longshore was born January 8, 1918 in Dora, OK and departed this life on August 2, 2010 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 24 days.
Pearl married Richard Croley on January 14, 1938 and to this union 10 children were born: R.C., Judy, Mary, Shirley, Dan, David, John Bill, Jim, Ben and Tressia. She enjoyed the duties that followed her role as homemaker being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She worked at the Adair County Election Board Office and Stilwell Canning Factory. She was also a great seamstress, loved to cook and really enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended and Grace Chapel Church. She loved working in her flower gardens and watching them grow.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; Claud and Irene Longshore, her husband; Richard Croley, 3 sons; Jim Croley, David Croley and R.C. Croley, 3 grandchildren, Michael Garrison, Jana Sue Croley and Lacey Jo, 1 daughter in law; Donna Croley, 11 siblings; Cedro Wright, Frankie Longshore, Everett Longshore, Joe Longshore, George Longshore, Mary Eubanks, Juanita Monday, Helen Brannon, Lucille James, Luther Longshore and infant sister.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her sons; Ben Croley and Wife Susan, Dan Croley, John Bill Croley all of Stilwell, OK, Daughters; Judy Simmons, Shirley Garrison and husband Jerry, Tressia Cain and husband David all of Stilwell, OK, Mary Pleacher and husband Ron of Independence, MO, 3 brothers; Ferrell Longshore, Leroy Longshore and wife Joy all of Stilwell, OK, Claud Jr. Longshore and Wife Mary of Yucca Valley, CA, 1 sister; Mattie Cloud of Stilwell, OK. 1 brother-in law; J.T. Brannon of Stilwell, OK, 24 grandchildren; Amanda Harkreader and husband Grant, Dana Cochran and husband Vince, Jeremy Croley, Jamie Croley and wife Chandra, George Croley and Marti, Sandy Meerbeck and husband Dan, Matt Croley and wife Kristy, Steve Croley and wife Chloe, Donna Woods and husband Blake, Floyd Paul Simmons and wife Lisa, John Simmons and wife Leisa, Jack Simmons, Mary Harlin and husband Billy, Anna Weichel and husband Justin, Jerry Ed Garrison, Ashley Stilwell and husband Matt, Heath Cain, Cassidy Cain, Bailey Cain, Richard Pleacher, wife Angela and Stephanie Mattivi and husband Michael , Jennifer Carr and husband Brennen, James Croley and wife Kimber, Jentri Croley, 66 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held, Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Friend of Grace Chapel Churchand Pastor Tony Burnette of Bunch Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in the Bunch Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
